The photo above shows the creativity and
resourcefulness of the Filipinos. As you can see the man used the chairs to
cross the flood...We can also conclude that this scenario is a sign of
thriftiness among Filipinos, why? Because, instead of spending his money to buy
a pair of boot, he simply make a substitute which is cheap and at the same time
creative. Amazing right?
Some people might actually think that
others who haven't been in school yet, have no potentials of being Creative and
Resourceful but, that thought was wrong! Filipinos are naturally born with
creativity and resourcefulness. It reflects their culture and in everything
they do. Filipinos inherited it from their great ancestors who made their
culture more Creative. Filipinos also inherited from their ancestors, different
kinds and means of entertainment made from pure Creativity and Resourcefulness,
like the photo below...
The picture shows the Creativity and
Resourcefulness of young Filipinos. Filipino children used a piece of plywood
as a surfing board then surf the flood with happiness on their eyes. Unlike
other children who belongs to the rich families, these Filipino children in the
picture doesn't use any money just to have fun which shows the simplicity of
the Filipinos.
Filipinos are Creative yet a Simple type
of people. The Filipinos' culture and tradition is truly colourful but, still Simplicity remains in
it...how? Because they know how to make something enjoyable even if it's
already a waste ... Creative, Resourceful and Simplicity, three virtues that Filipinos
inherited from their ancestors that makes each and every one of them smile
inside and out most especially in times of Calamity... because they believe that
smiling can conquer all their problems...which leads us to the last photo that,
it shows how Creative, Resourceful and Simple a Filipino can be when there's a Calamity,
just to be happy:
Well, this is it...the last photo which
combines Creativity, Resourcefulness, Simplicity and Happiness of every
Filipino citizen educated or not. As you can see in the photo above those are
Filipino children having fun while crossing the flood. They made a boat like
structure in which they can ride on it so they can cross the flood at the same
time play.
Filipino, what really does it take to
call someone a Filipino? Is it in their language, the way they talk and their
accent? How about on the way they dress, traditionally or modernized? Maybe it
depends on where they live? If not, then is it on their names like Juan, Carlo,
Manuel and Lopez these are Filipino names right?
Language, Clothes, Location and Names are
just material things and does not supposed to be considered as Factors of being
a Filipino. For example: Chan Yang, she lives in China, the only language she
can understand is Mandarin, her Father is a Filipino and her Mother is a Chinese,
she's the only one on their school who kept on smiling and prays. Now, the
question is, was she considered as a Filipino? The answer is yes! Being a
Filipino depends on the blood that runs in your body and on the way you act.
It doesn't really matter on which part of the planet someone lives to be called
as a Filipino because; Filipinos are spread all over the globe. Being a
Filipino will never be complete without being Creative, Resourceful, Simple and
Happy.
Filipinos have thousands of description to be
called as a Filipino and those descriptions will never be erased no matter how
many times they've experienced tragedy and calamity, even if they go onto the
farthest land on Earth, still their Filipino qualities remains in their blood.
But most of all, the best part of being a Filipino is they can coped up with
every problem and that they are Happy even when there's a calamity.
